TAHOE TREEHOUSE Crystal Bay, Nevada

On a site just a few blocks from the North shore of Lake Tahoe, the design brief called for a modestly scaled home that reaches upward to catch views of the lake between its neighbors. A creative reinterpretation of the local pitched roof zoning code requirements allows maximum building height by folding the roof into a series of origami-like planes that enclose the top level, full-floor great room in a tent-like canopy.
